By creating an account or using TrustRec ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What the Service does

TrustRec prepares a monthly trust account three-way reconciliation worksheet and supporting package from report exports you upload from Buildium. You review and sign each package. TrustRec does not certify compliance with any law or rule, does not audit your records, and does not act as your accountant, attorney, or fiduciary. Responsibility for reviewing, signing, and retaining each reconciliation, and for compliance with 21 NCAC 58A and all other obligations, remains yours.

TrustRec is software, not a law firm, accounting firm, or compliance service. Nothing it produces is legal, accounting, or regulatory advice. If you need such advice, consult a qualified professional.

4. Subscriptions, trial, and cancellation

New accounts include a 30-day free trial with no card required. Paid plans are billed monthly through Paddle, our merchant of record. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops new package generation at the end of the current period. Your previously generated reconciliations remain available to download regardless of subscription status.

5. Availability and warranties

We work to keep the Service available and correct, but it is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any package satisfies a regulatory obligation. You are responsible for verifying each reconciliation before you sign it.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, TrustRec and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
